Through a combination of theoretical exploration and practical application, students will learn how to express their feelings and thoughts using various techniques and materials. Emphasizing an abstract approach to art, this course encourages students to explore alternative methods of creation, moving beyond traditional representational forms. Students will delve into the element of chance and cultivate the courage to experiment freely in order to develop their unique artistic voice.  Topics covered in this course include Color Theory, Collage & Décollage, Calligram, Concrete and Visual Poetry, Medium, Media, Mixed Media, and Sculpture & Nature.
