In my quest to compose a concise Italian article for Artribune, delving into the artistic realm of Emly Caar, I serendipitously encountered the captivating Group of Seven and their fervent dedication to landscape painting. A subsequent exploration of art galleries in Vancouver, B.C., deepened my appreciation for landscape art, leading to a realization during my stay – an inevitability of being captivated by the extraordinary natural beauty surrounding me. In response to this profound wellspring of inspiration, I embarked on a transformative artistic journey, giving rise to what I now term the “Returning to the Natural World” series. Armed with watercolors and an on-site approach, I sought to encapsulate the very essence of British Columbia’s enchanting landscapes. This creative odyssey, initiated in Vancouver, unfolded through Italy and Iran, each locale leaving an indelible mark on my work.
Every brushstroke applied aimed to convey the unique vitality and serenity I personally witnessed. Ultimately, my expressive and abstract renditions of these landscapes serve as an exploration into the interplay between the tangible and intangible, the visible and concealed. They aspire to capture the elusive core of nature itself, transcending literal representation to evoke a profound emotional response. Through my art, I extend an invitation to the audience to embrace the poetic and transformative power of abstraction, embarking on a journey of discovery, contemplation, and connection with the landscapes that define our world. As an ongoing project, allow me to offer a glimpse with a selection of illustrative examples.
