This project reinterprets my earlier traditional landscapes and seascapes, breathing new life into them through abstraction. These works transcend a mere departure from my past; they embody the memories and experiences that have shaped my artistic identity. By transforming these older pieces, I explore how they can evolve and resonate in a contemporary context. In this process, I consciously shift from darker, muted colors to vivid brush strokes and marks, reflecting a renewed energy and optimism. Each abstract rendition serves as a vessel for the emotions and narratives embedded in the original works, allowing them to grow and change from past to present. This transformation symbolizes a journey from tradition to innovation, where abstraction invites viewers to connect with the essence of nature beyond its literal representation. Through this creative process, I engage in a dialogue between memory and innovation, capturing the spirit of each landscape while encouraging introspection and connection. The resulting works invite viewers to experience not only the imagery but also the emotional undercurrents that define our relationship with the natural world.
